BCS contributes to Queensland Flood Relief
BCS staff, volunteers, clients and residents have watched on in horror over the past week as the flood crisis in Queensland has gone from bad to worse.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the individuals, families, and communities throughout Queensland who have been impacted by this devastating tragedy.
Today, BCS contributed $50,000 to the Queensland Flood Appeal.
The donation will be sent to Queensland Baptist Care who will issue funds directly, via Baptist Churches, and to other church-based organisations (such as the Salvation Army) who are substantively involved in the flood relief. This contribution is to encourage and support Queensland Baptist Care, their clients, staff and their families, and the Churches and the wider Queensland community in this very difficult time.
The Australian Baptist Ministries has opened its National Disaster and Relief Fund to channel specific giving through local Queensland Baptist Churches, Queensland Baptist Care initiatives, and other like minded agencies, including disaster relief in other areas of Australia such as northern New South Wales.
